Homer Elementary Positive Behavior Plan |
Homer Elementary School has always prided itself as an orderly school a with high level of respect among staff and students. Each year our student population has grown and the building has more than doubled in size. We felt the need to establish a behavior plan that takes into account our growth. Homer Elementary School has developed a school-wide behavior plan designed to foster a climate of cooperation, academic excellence, respect, and safety. This plan makes use of effective instructional strategies, consistent correction procedures, logical consequences, and positive reinforcement to teach students the skills and behaviors necessary to succeed now and in the future. Please spend some family time discussing the various aspects of the Positive Behavior Plan with your child/children. It is especially important that you talk to your child about behavior expectations, inappropriate behaviors, and consequences. With your continued support and involvement, there is no question that Homer Elementary School will continue to be a school where students can excel in a safe, respectful and cooperative learning environment. |

Not an actual Pel Buck |
How PEL Bucks are used Teachers give out a Pel Buck anywhere a student is caught following the school wide expectations. You can earn 1 buck for no trouble. Pel Bucks are saved and spent at the Pel Buck Store on Fridays. |
